BelitongToday, Tanjungpandan – Deputy Minister for Coordination of International Economic Cooperation at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Edi Prio Pambudi, introduced the word Meetcation for meeting and vacation.
He said this to the delegates of the 2023 ASEAN HLTF-EI since the meeting took place on the beachfront of Belitung at the Sheraton Hotel.
Thus, delegates can meet to talk about the blue economy and other important matters while enjoying the beautiful beaches of Belitung.
“I am introducing Meetcation which is meeting and vacation. We really appreciate your presence. Please enjoy the beauty of Belitung Island while talking about ASEAN blue economy framework,” he said on Wednesday (3/1).
Pambudi said countries in Southeast Asia must implement blue economy to prevent damage to marine ecosystems.
“ASEAN is obliged to maintain a blue economy by preventing various natural destructions in the sea,” he added.
According to him, it is very important to implement the blue economy within the Southeast Asian regional.
Meanwhile, Acting Governor of Bangka Belitung, Ridwan Djamaludin said blue economy must be realized in real and serious way.
“Blue economy must be realized in serious way to preserve the marine wealth of Bangka Belitung and Indonesia,” Ridwan said.
He added that while in Belitung, delegates should enjoy the island by shopping and vacationing.
“I hope you can conduct quality meetings and don’t forget to shop and enjoy the island,” he remarked. (tim)
