BelitongToday, Tanjungpandan – Get ready for you, young people on Belitong Island. Soon there will be a UNESCO Global Geopark Youth Marine Camp. The activity takes the theme: “The Way of Water, Designing the Future of Island Geoparks Through Youth Initiatives”.
This activity, which is a side event of the ASEAN Blue Economy Forum and the 4th Geotourism Festival and Conference, will take place on July 2-5, 2023, on Kepayang Island, Sijuk, Belitung Regency.
During the event, there will be a seminar attended by the Chairperson of UNESCO Global Geopark Youth Forum, representatives from the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, and representatives from the Global Geoparks Network as speakers.
Currently, registration is still open until Sunday, June 18, 2023 for community and local participants. Local participants who can register include the Geosite community and high school / equivalent level students throughout the Belitong Island.
The registration fee for participants from the Geosite is IDR150 thousand per person. Meanwhile, participants from schools are charged IDR100 thousand per person.
