“I appreciate the inauguration of Kulong Purun and the cohesiveness between Pokdarwis and village government officials,” she explained.
Annyta explained that the presence of Kulong Purun destination is in line with the innovative program of the Regency Government. Namely “One Village, One Destination”.
“Belitung Regent has always said repeatedly that one village has at least one tourism destination,” he added.
In the same place, Head of Air Merbau Village, Katto, expressed his gratitude to all guests who attended the inauguration.
“The Air Merbau Government would like to thank you and apologize if there were any shortcomings in the reception,” he said.
He stated that Kulong Purun was once the location of tin ore mining activities in 1851. The area was mined by residents of Chinese descent Kek (Kuncit Chinese).
After not being a mining site, Kulong Purun was utilized by the Kuncit Chinese to irrigate rice fields because of its fertile land. (Nazriel)
