BelitongToday, Tanjungpandan – Peramun Hill Tourism Geosite in Selumar Village, Sijuk District, is now using a digital or virtual-based application system.
Chairman of the Air Selumar Community (Arsel), Adhie Darmawan said that Peramun Hill has used two digital applications.
“We uses two types of applications, the first of which is the Peramun Hill Virtual Guide,” he explained, Thursday (8/6).
He explained, that this application is useful for providing information to tourists who come to visit such as recognizing tree species and so on.
“Because in this village we understand the types of trees, but we can’t explain verbally. So, this virtual guide can be the bridge. This application provides two languages, consisting of Indonesian and English so that this is more of an interactive tool,” he explained.
As for the second application, it is called Kenali Pohon Peramun (KEPO). Where, there are now 30 types of trees in the application.
“Although there are 147 types of trees here, but those included in the application are just 30 types of trees. That is enough to explain to tourists in audio and video. About the type of tree, the Latin name of the family, the physical characteristics of the tree, and its benefits,” he exposed.
Both applications are offline, so users do not need an internet connection.
“You can download the application on Play Store because it is still Android-based, while I-Phone users cannot use it yet. Because this application is not yet IOS-based,” he concluded. (Ferdy)
