BelitongToday, Manggar – East Belitung Regent, Burhanudin, offered cooperation and investment opportunities to investors in Batam, Riau Islands Province.
He did this to improve the development and growth of the regional economy through enhanced investment.
Burhanudin attended the 2023 Sumatera Regional Apkasi-Kadin Invesment Forum, at the Grand Ballroom Asialink Hotel Batam, Friday (6/2).
“We have a lot of economic potential that we must mobilize and develop. Therefore, we really need investment to manage the potential of natural resources. Not only to take the raw material, but also to develop it into downstream products,” he explained.
He added that the Sumatra Regional Investment Forum is very helpful for regions in bringing in investment. By bringing together regents/mayors throughout Sumatra with investors directly.
“Of course we need to communicate with each other. The important thing is that investment has many benefits for the people of East Belitung and the region,” he stated.
Introduce East Belitung Investment Opportunities
The 2023 Sumatra Regional Investment Forum event was also attended by potential investors from six countries.
Together with the Acting Head of the Department of Investment, One-Stop Integrated Services and Trade Department (DPMPTSPP), Harli Agusta, and Tri Astuti R H as Head of the Economic, Development and Natural Resources Section, Aan made a presentation and exposure before the investors.
In his presentation, Aan explained in detail the condition of Beltim Regency and the potential of natural resources. Also, about the existing investment, investment opportunities and investment space. He also gave the information weaknesses and challenges in investing presented by Beltim Regency to potential investors.
“Beltim is a rich and varied potential area, be it the fisheries, plantation, mining, and tourism sectors,” said Burhanudin, who is familiarly called Aan, in front of potential investors.
Closing his presentation, the regent hoped that investors would be interested in investing in East Belitung by offering easy licensing, fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, and investment certainty.
“I invite investors to get to know East Belitung. We have a friendly community and certainly have a variety of resources that we can develop,” he concluded. (Mario/Rel)
