BelitongToday, Tanjungpandan – The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Indonesia, Muzzafar S. Abduazimov visited Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
The visit was to explore opportunities for cooperation between the two regions in a number of sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, and tourism.
Upon arrival in Belitung on Wednesday (9/20) the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Indonesia, Muzzafar S. Abduazimov gave a public lecture at the Belitung Polytechnic.
Then in the afternoon, Muzzafar visited the Belitung Fisheries Service Office and the Belitung KUKM Gallery.
Muzzafar S. Abduazimov said that Belitung MSME products are very interesting. Especially local handicraft products of the local community.
“We also bought snacks and we bought some samples for my team in Jakarta,” he said.
He explained that this visit was his second visit to Belitung. Previously he had visited Belitung some time ago.
“I returned to Belitung with more comprehensive cooperation,” he said.
He argued that the visit to Belitung was aimed at establishing cooperation between the two cities of Belitung and Bukhara City, Uzbekistan.
“We will sign an agreement to improve and advance cooperation between the two cities,” he stated.
He explained that the cooperation could be between government and government (G to G), government and business (G to B), and business and business (B to B).
“We believe that Belitung commodities can be exported to Uzbekistan. We must be positive and accelerate this cooperation,” he remarked. (Tim)
