Supporting G20 in Bali, Chairperson of HIPMI Belitung Hoped the Summit Produces Strategic Decisions for Indonesia

BelitongToday, Tanjungpandan – Head of Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) of Belitung Regency, Fajar Kawolu said that he hoped that Indonesia can be a good host at the G20 Summit meeting in Bali so that it could run smoothly.

According to him, he fully supported the holding of the G20 Summit in Bali on November 15-16 because Indonesia plays a strategic position in world geopolitics today.

“Indonesia received that strategic role, that makes Indonesia is entrusted with holding this high-level event,” Fajar told BelitongToday, yesterday (11/14).

He also hoped that Indonesia could become a mediator for conflicts that occur in the world.

“The conflicts that occurred today can be resolved with Indonesia as the leader. Indonesia was able to complete the G20 presidency well and produce strategic decisions for the world, especially for G20 member countries,” continued the man who is also the founder of Intekno.

According to him, the Indonesian presidency at the meeting which was also attended by US President, Joe Biden, could have a big impact on foreign investment entering Indonesia. Where Indonesia is currently in need of large investment to improve the economy.

“The most important thing is investment. With the convening of the G20, we hope that the economic impact, both directly and indirectly, will boost Indonesia’s economy,” he added.

He said, currently Indonesia needs a large investment and downstream natural resource products in Indonesia. We hope that by organizing the G20 these things can have a broad impact on all citizens and development in all regions.

As is known, previously a meeting of the G20 Development Ministers was held in Belitung which more or less also had an impact on Belitung tourism.

“A meeting of the G20 Development Ministers two months ago was also held in Belitung. Perhaps the impact was not too big for the people of Belitung, but we hope that the delegates are willing to return to Belitung and invite tourists from their countries,” he hoped.

In addition, he hoped that the entire G20 meeting in Bali can provide the best decisions for Indonesia, G20 member countries, and the world in general.
