BelitongToday, Tanjungpandan – Belitung Regent, Sahani Saleh welcomed the ISPO (Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil) dialogue delegation at the Belitung Malay Traditional House on Wednesday (11/23) yesterday.
The event was attended by the Regent of Belitung, Sahani Saleh, the Director of Trade, Industry, Commodities, and Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Antonius Tri Yudiantoro, along with the heads of the Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) of Belitung.
Previously, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had held the Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) dialogue at the Sheraton Hotel, on Wednesday (11/23) yesterday afternoon.
The Regent of Belitung, Sahani Saleh hoped that in the future the invited guests could come back to Belitung.
“Perhaps it’s the first time for you honorable guests coming to Belitung, so we hope that all the invitees can come back to us, to Belitung,” he hoped.
The man who is familiarly called Sanem, explained that Belitung is in a strategic area and has been designated as a UNESCO Global Geopark.
“Belitung Island is located in a strategic location, and is one of thousands of islands in Indonesia, which has now been designated as a UNESCO Global Geopark,” he explained.
He explained that Belitung has natural wealth in the form of high-quality mineral elements.
“It is complete in Belitung, we have silica sand, building sand of the highest quality. Belitung is well known of its tin, the tin itself consisted of 12 mineral elements, one of which is uranium, a nuclear material,” he said.
