BelitongToday, Tanjungpandan – A total of 56 Catholics of Regina Pacis Parish in Tanjungpandan have left for Jakarta.
They will participate in the Holy Mass with Pope Francis at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Jakarta on September 5.
This information was conveyed by the Secretary of the Regina Pacis Tanjungpandan Parish Pipe, Djohan Wijaya.
According to him, currently 56 Catholics of Regina Pacis Tanjungpandan Parish are already in Jakarta.
“Yes, currently they are already in Jakarta and will participate in the Holy Mass with Pope Francis,” said Djohan Wijaya, Wednesday, August 4, 2024.
Djohan explained that the 56 people who left were quota from the diocese of Pangkalpinang.
“The Diocese of Pangkalpinang gets a quota of 1,000 people and 56 of them are from the Regina Pacis Parish Catholic Church in Tanjungpandan who left for Jakarta,” he explained.
Becoming a Historical Record
Being able to attend the Holy Youth together with Pope Francis, said Djohan, is a history for faith and life.
“Because after 35 years the Pope is coming back to Indonesia,” he explained.
He added that the Indonesian people were very happy to welcome the arrival of the noble supreme leader Pope Francis.
