BelitongToday, Tanjungpandan – PT. Port of Tanjung Batu Belitong Indonesia cooperated with PT. Temas Port which was marked by the signing of a commitment agreement held in the Meeting Room of the Belitung Regent, Tuesday (1/10) morning.
The event was started with a brief presentation regarding the profile and journey of PT. Temas Port.
“PT. Temas Port is a subsidiary of PT. Temas Tbk, where PT. Temas Tbk itself is a company engaged in the shipping sector, and we already have connectivity for approximately 60 ports in Indonesia,” said the Director of PT. Temas Port, Lina Santi when presenting the profile of PT. Tema Port.
Until now, PT. Temas Port already has a fleet of around 40 ships and has had experience in handling international ports since the 1980s.
“Apart from the port business, our main focus is to create an integrated system for logistics. Therefore, we need connectivity, one of which is through ports,” he explained.
And cooperation between PT. Temas Port with PT. The Port of Tanjung Batu Belitong Indonesia was a form of building this connectivity.
“We see a good opportunity, good for us together where I was also given my blessing, everything has a way,” he said.
In line with that, the Regent of Belitung, Sahani Saleh said that Belitung is located in a very strategic location.
“Since the Dutch colonial era, Belitung has become a shipping channel, this is evidenced by the existence of three lighthouses in Belitung,” he said.
This collaboration proved a great achievement from PT. Port of Tanjung Batu Belitong Indonesia with PT. Tema Port.
“We have controlled 78 hectares of land for this area (PT. Tanjung Batu Belitong Indonesia Port), this is what we have to maintain because it will provide local revenue through this cooperation,” he marked. (Dafit)
