BelitongToday, Tanjungpandan – The Belitung Regency Government continues to encourage the construction of Tanjung Paku Pier, Padang Kandis Village, Membalong Subdistrict.
The port is planned to be a crossing pier to Seliu Island. Seeing the amount of financing for the pier, the construction will be sought through the State Budget (APBN).
The Acting Head of the Belitung Regency Transportation Department, MZ Hendra Caya said, that the regional obligations has been fulfilled. There are, starting from land readiness, preparation of master plans, DED, and other administrative requirements.
“We are currently perfecting the necessary administrative requirements. Such as, improving the DED (development engineering design),” said the Acting Head of Belitung Regency Transportation Department, MZ Hendra Caya, some time ago.
According to Hendra, the funding plan through the Ministry of Transportation has also received recommendations from Commission V of the House of Representatives.
“For the construction of Tanjung Paku Pier, we proposed a construction budget of Rp104 billion,” he explained.
Therefore, the Belitung Regency Government is still trying to build it as soon as possible. And, at the same time, waiting for direction from the central government.
Moreover, the people of Seliu Island really need this pier to facilitate their access.
Hendra said, the construction of this pier is a important since the fishermen and the community really need it.
This is because access to the pier is important for the transportation of people and goods. So that it has economic importance.
“The pier is indeed very important considering the condition of the Teluk Gembira pier which is no longer representative. Thus, a replacement pier is needed,” he concluded. (Adoy).
