BelitongToday, Tanjungpandan – Belitung Regency Government is planning to build a food court or a one-stop street food center (Pujasera) to support the progress of local MSMEs.
The Regent of Belitung, Sahani Saleh, said that the location chosen to build the food court was the former SMEP on Jalan Sriwijaya in front of the Belitung MSME Gallery.
He said the land has now officially become the property of the Belitung Regional Government and a food court will be built.
The total budget prepared to build the food court is IDR12 billion.
“The development of this food court is to develop MSMEs and Belitung economy,” he said.
According to the Regent, the construction of the food court is also expected to become a culinary icon for tourism in Belitung.
“We hope this food court can become a magnet for tourists who come to Belitung,” he hoped.
He said the construction of the food court is planned to be carried out next year.
Currently, the legislature is discussing the budget for the construction of the food court in a discussion meeting on the Belitung Region Budget in 2023.
“We have allocated around IDR12 billion for the construction of this food court,” he said. (Azriel)
