BelitongToday, Tanjungpandan – As many as 49 participants took part in the young entrepreneur exhibition competition and the youth acoustic music festival in Belitung Regency year 2022.
The event was opened directly by the Regent of Belitung, Sahani Saleh, marked by beating of a drum accompanied by the Head of the Youth and Sports Department (Dispora) of Belitung Regency, Junaidi along with regional leadership communication forum elements and other invitees.
The event started on Tuesday (25/10) until next Thursday (27/10), taking place at the Gor Tanjungpandan yard.
The Regent of Belitung, Sahani Saleh, said that this event was very positive and creative for the youth, especially when it coincided with the Youth Pledge Day on October 28. The youth must be motivated as the nation’s next generation to struggle to build the national interest.
“Nowadays, youth must be creative, innovative, and independent. Youth must be experts, have a lot of knowledge and experience in the future, because in building the nation, it cannot be separated from the clerics, governments, and entrepreneurs,” said the Regent in his speech, Tuesday (10/25).
The Regent continued, that he directed the younger generation to become entrepreneurs since in future development, Belitung no longer relies on the mining sector, but through the service sector, creative economy, and MSMEs.
“Youths don’t always have to look for work, but have to start to create jobs, not to mention the threat of a global economic recession. We will form and encourage the younger generation to become entrepreneurs,” he continued.
He advised the participants that this opportunity is to learn to be an entrepreneur, because entrepreneurship does not only require strong capital but also a strong mentality.
Head of the Belitung Youth and Sports Department, Junaidi added, the purpose of the activity was to improve the skills of young entrepreneurs and beginners.
“This activity aims to increase the role of youth in entrepreneurship and to increase creativity through an acoustic music competition,” said Junaidi.
According to Junaidi, the exhibition is open from 14:00 to 22:00, while the acoustic music competition is also held for 3 days, until the last night which is the final night.
“So all those who sell here are all young people, and the competition is also participated by young people,” he explained.
Junaidi said the young entrepreneur exhibition competition was attended by 34 participants and 15 participants at the acoustic music festival.
“The winners will get trophies, coaching money, and certificates,” he explained. (admin)
